Job summary

Jacobs is seeking a Senior Engineer with highway drainage experience to join Derbyshire County Council's Flood Risk Management Team. You will work in a specialist drainage unit on schemes from feasibility through detailed design to construction support and delivery, using site inspections, survey data and modelling to identify problems and provide durable solutions.

You'll collaborate with council teams and contractors, contributing technical outputs and recommendations to improve network

Qualifications

Experience delivering highway drainage or drainage infrastructure projects.

Experience developing and reviewing drainage designs across multiple project stages.

Working knowledge of drainage design standards and guidance, including DMRB and SuDS principles.

Experience using drainage modelling software such as MicroDrainage, InfoDrainage, Causeway Flow or similar.

Responsibilities

Support a varied programme of drainage schemes from feasibility through to detailed design and scheme delivery.
Use site inspections, survey data and drainage modelling tools to identify problems, develop effective solutions and help deliver long-term value.
