Job summary

RGB Recruitment partners with a growing independent civil engineering consultancy seeking a Senior Highway Technician/Engineer in the West of England. You will lead highway design delivery, coordinate schemes from planning through construction, and provide technical guidance to junior staff.

You will collaborate with developers, authorities, and design teams, applying DMRB standards, S278 schemes, and Causeway PDS to ensure safe, compliant outcomes.

Qualifications

• Degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent experience.
• Proven highway design experience in consultancy/local authority.
• Knowledge of DMRB, Manual for Streets, local guidance.

Responsibilities

• Lead design and delivery of highway infrastructure for various developments.
• Prepare and oversee S278 packages.
• Coordinate highway access and junction design.
• Design using Causeway PDS and ensure standards compliance.
• Produce detailed carriageways and footways designs.
• Coordinate drainage, lighting and utilities within highway projects.
• Mentor junior engineers and technicians.
