Job summary

Matchtech Group is seeking a Service Delivery Manager to oversee highway maintenance and repairs across the South West, based from Devon/Cornwall depots. You will manage supplier performance, budgets, and ensure works meet safety and quality standards, while designing highway asset repairs in line with CDM regulations.

You will coordinate cyclical and reactive maintenance, monitor contracts, and lead remedial actions with delivery partners, enabling efficient delivery across the region.

Qualifications

• Strong understanding of highway asset management policies and strategies.
• Experience managing contractor and supply chain performance.
• Knowledge of NEC3 and NEC4 contracts.
• Engineering degree or relevant technical qualification.
• Experience in budget management, forecasting and accrual accounting.
• CDM Designer assurance and quality/performance monitoring experience.
• Full driving licence with no more than three penalty points.

Responsibilities

• Manage supplier performance against contractual KPIs, service levels, technical standards, quality requirements and safety expectations.
• Monitor route and contract performance, identifying trends, risks and areas for improvement.
• Investigate performance issues and develop remedial action plans with delivery partners.
• Maintain and oversee cyclical and reactive maintenance programmes, ensuring efficient delivery and cost control.
• Coordinate maintenance activities with wider regional programmes to minimise disruption to road users.
• Prepare designs and instructions for highway asset repairs and small works packages in line with industry standards and CDM regulations.
