Job summary

MBDA UK is seeking a high-speed Digital and Hardware Electronics Design Lead in Stevenage (or Bristol) with a long-term view to becoming a technical lead. You will develop MPSoC FPGA and AI hardware, collaborating across systems, software, firmware, mechanical and production teams.

The role requires expertise in MPSoC FPGA, DDR/Flash, VHDL and C/C++/Python, with a strong design discipline. Hybrid working 3-4 days on site, BPSS clearance, and a path from technical lead to specialist.

Qualifications

• Must have extensive experience in complex, high-speed digital electronics design.
• Experience with MPSoC FPGA, DDR and Flash memory and high-speed interconnects.
• Proficient in SI/PI analysis and hardware test methods.
• Proficient in VHDL; capable of board-level debugging.
• Proficient in C, C++, or Python for board-level test and debug.
• Familiarity with DSP concepts for SDR, radar and optical sensors.

Responsibilities

• Lead hardware design for MPSoC FPGA and AI hardware solutions across SDR, radar, and sensor fusion applications.
• Collaborate with systems, software, firmware, mechanical and production teams to specify elegant, optimized solutions.
• Oversee detailed design of high-speed digital aspects and guide electronics development through full product lifecycle.
