Job summary

Recruitment Helpline Ltd is seeking an experienced HGV Technician for a full-time, permanent position in Harlow, Essex. The role covers inspections, servicing, maintenance and repairs across a varied fleet, with fault finding using TEXA and Jaltest.

Applicants should have strong mechanical and diagnostic abilities, and an attentive, professional approach. The position offers a structured shift pattern and opportunities for training and development in a well-established workshop.

Qualifications

• Good knowledge of HGVs and commercial vehicles
• Strong mechanical and diagnostic ability
• Experience carrying out servicing, inspections and repairs
• Ability to diagnose faults logically and efficiently
• Professional attitude and pride in workmanship
• Good teamwork and communication skills
• Self-motivated approach to work
• Attention to detail, especially in documentation
• NVQ/City & Guilds or equivalent qualifications desirable

Responsibilities

• Inspect, service, maintain and repair a wide range of vehicles
• Fault finding using diagnostic equipment and fixing faults
• Complete service sheets and documentation accurately
• Work safely and maintain a clean, professional workspace
• Work independently or as part of a team
