Job summary

Recruitment Helpline Ltd has an excellent opportunity for an experienced HGV Technician to join a well-established workshop in Harlow. You will be responsible for inspecting, servicing and repairing a wide range of commercial vehicles, diagnosing faults and carrying out preventative maintenance.

The role offers a competitive salary of £42,000 to £65,000 per annum, depending on experience, along with a late-shift bonus, fortnightly pay and opportunities for training and development.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as an HGV Technician with knowledge of servicing, inspections and repairs.
• Strong diagnostic ability using TEXA and Jaltest.
• Ability to diagnose faults logically and efficiently.
• Attention to detail and thorough documentation.
• NVQ/City & Guilds or equivalent qualifications desirable.

Responsibilities

• Routine servicing, inspections and preventative maintenance.
• Diagnosing and repairing mechanical, hydraulic and electrical faults.
• Fault finding using diagnostic equipment, including TEXA and Jaltest.
• MOT preparation and rectification work.
• Investigating and repairing vehicle defects.
• Carrying out repairs to a high standard and in accordance with manufacturer and industry standards.
• Completing service sheets and job documentation accurately.
• Working safely and maintaining a clean and professional working environment.
• Working both independently and as part of a team.
