Job summary

Stantec is seeking Heritage Consultants to join the Environmental Assessment group, delivering historic environment advice across the UK on water, highways and infrastructure projects. You will conduct data searches, desk-based assessments, client liaison and risk analysis, contributing to mitigation strategies and high-quality consultancy outputs.

You will work in multidisciplinary teams, with potential project management responsibilities and a focus on developing your expertise and career

Qualifications

• Degree in Archaeology or a heritage-related subject.
• Corporate member of CIfA and/or IHBC or working towards membership within 12 months.
• Sound multi-period knowledge of the British archaeological resource and understanding of the UK legislative, consultancy and national planning policy framework.
• Strong report writing and professional client relationship skills.

Responsibilities

• Conduct data searches and desk-based assessments.
• Liaise with clients and negotiate with LPA archaeological and heritage advisers.
• Develop mitigation strategies for projects from small to nationally significant scale.
• Contribute to mapping and heritage screening exercises and project management tasks.
