Job summary

Cornerstone Healthcare Group is seeking a compassionate Senior Care Assistant for Kitnocks House in Hampshire. The role involves supporting the care team to meet residents' daily needs, with a 40.25-hour week and shifts across Tue/Wed/Fri and Mon/Thu/Sat/Sun.

Hourly pay £15.10–£17.10 depending on NVQ level, with a supportive, values-driven environment rated GOOD by CQC. We welcome applicants with at least one year in care settings and NVQ Level 3, who can build strong relationships with

What You’ll Bring

• 12 months previous experience working in care home/ healthcare setting in a Senior Healthcare Assistant/ Team Lead role (essential)


• NVQ/QCF level 3 or working towards this (essential)


• Ability to develop and maintain good working relationships with colleagues, residents, and their families


• A caring and empathetic approach to residents and their visitors

Your Working Pattern

Week A - 3 days - Tuesday, Wednesday & Friday: 07.30 to 20.00

Week B - 4 days - Monday, Thursday, Saturday & Sunday:07.30 to 20.00

Total average of 40.25 hours worked per week.

£15.10 - £17.10 per hour (Dependant on Level 3 NVQ).

What You’ll Be Doing

• Under supervision of the Registered Nurse, undertake support and guiding the care team to meet the daily care needs of our residents. This includes ensuring colleagues undertake allocated of breaks. support care delivery which includes personal hygiene, nutrition and hydration and participation in meaningful activities. The Senior would also participate in these activities to ensure the wellbeing of our residents is achieved.


• Prioritising workload of the care team, seeking advice from the nurse in charge where necessary.


• Participate in meetings including staff meetings, case reviews, clinical reviews, as prescribed by the Nurse in charge.


• Helping residents to remain as independent as possible.


• Respecting residents right of choice, privacy and dignity at all times.
