An exciting opportunity has arisen to join NHS Main Outpatients as a Band 3 Senior Healthcare Assistant. Successful candidates will provide excellent patient care while working with a dynamic nursing team, developing a diverse set of clinical skills. This role offers training for those without extensive experience in outpatient settings.
Job summary
An exciting opportunity has arisen to join our friendly team in Main Outpatients as a Band 3 Senior Healthcare Assistant. An effective communicator, you will be expected to provide an efficient and effective service to all users of the department as part of the nursing team. You will have the opportunity to develop and practice a diverse set of clinical skills working alongside various specialties. Experience of working in an outpatient setting is not essential, as training will be provided.
***Preference will be given to internal Trust staff, as well as 'Priority' and 'At Risk' status including NHS At Risk staff throughout Devon who are able to display recent relevant experience as dictated by the Person Specification.***
Main duties of the jobYou will work with a dynamic team of nurses and support staff providing excellent care to patients on the outpatient pathway. For the right candidate, this is an opportunity for a rewarding job that provides variety and will require you to utilise a varied range of skills and competencies. You must have excellent communication skills to enable you to liaise effectively with patients, their families and colleagues in the multidisciplinary team. 1. Obtain consent prior to giving care in accordance with Trust policies.
2. Competently undertake delegated duties in line with patient care plans.
