Description
- To work as part of a team liaising with management, GP’s, Social workers, and other members of the multi-disciplinary team.
- The successful candidate will also undertake administration duties on a rolling rota basis to complete administration tasks.
- You will also be required, at the guidance of management, to carry out risk assessments and initial assessments of each service user within their own homes to ensure that care is carried out to the highest standard.
- You will also be required to undertake spot checks of staff and service users to ensure that all standards are being maintained.
- The successful candidate must also be familiar with the Care Council of Wales and CSSIW standards.
- Experience of working within care is required; QCF level 2 is desirable.
- You will also be required to carry out personal care, develop and/or maintain social activities and individual social networks, and/or other tasks as specified in the service user’s individual plan of care, encouraging the service user where possible to undertake these tasks themselves.
- To contribute to accurate and detailed record keeping whilst maintaining the service user’s privacy in accordance with the confidentiality policy.
- We also encourage training as required by the management to improve personal skills and knowledge in order to maintain a provision of high-quality domiciliary care.
- To contribute, by carrying out planned actions, to the maintenance of the service users’ individuality, dignity, and freedom of choice.
- This job description is a general description of the duties expected of a senior domiciliary care worker; other duties within the carer's capabilities and in line with legislation and regulations may be required in order to meet individual service user needs.
