Vickerstock is working in partnership with a construction firm on the appointment of a Senior HSEQ Advisor.

As a Senior HSEQ Advisor, you will support the business in improving HSEQ performance, drive a culture of continuous improvement, and ensure legislative compliance.

In your new role:

  1. Foster strong working relationships across all levels of the organisation, promoting a culture of engagement and compliance with all HSEQ policies
  2. Oversee and continuously improve the Integrated Management System to ensure regulatory compliance and operational efficiency
  3. Lead the development and implementation of new HSEQ initiatives to support ongoing performance enhancement
  4. Conduct internal audits and inspections, managing corrective and preventative actions
  5. Coordinate ISO 9001, 14001, and 45001 audit programmes and support external audit readiness with practical compliance solutions
  6. Ensure Health and Safety Plans are accurately prepared and aligned with project requirements
  7. Carry out regular site visits to verify the availability and suitability of safety equipment and documentation
  8. Manage the reporting, recording, and investigation of incidents, ensuring timely and accurate follow-up
  9. Liaise with legal representatives on Employers’ Liability and Public Liability claims, supporting investigations as needed
  10. Advise senior leadership on evolving HSEQ legislation and its implications for company policies and procedures

What you will need to succeed:

  1. 3+ years’ experience within a similar H&S role
  2. Relevant Health and Safety qualifications (NEBOSH)
  3. Experience within the construction sector
  4. Understanding of HSE legislation and regulations
  5. Experience with ISO 9001, 14001, 45001
  6. IT and numeracy skills (MS Office)
  7. Full clean driving license

Desirable (it would be great if you have this, but don't worry if you don't):

  • IOSH Membership
  • NEBOSH Diploma or Degree
