Senior Health & Safety Advisor

Southwest London

Type: Permanent

Excellent opportunity to work as part of a large Health & Safety team for a chemical manufacturing and engineering business. The company works with high-profile clients and offers exposure to innovative projects and diverse risks. The site is based in southwest London, suitable for candidates commuting from the M3 corridor.

Responsibilities:

• Assist the Health and Safety Leader and Head of Department in managing daily deliverables and workflow, ensuring stakeholder requirements are met on time.
• Mentor Health and Safety Advisors and promote continuous personal development.
• Develop and review health and safety audit plans, ensure timely incident investigations and lessons learned, and maintain up-to-date health and safety documentation in line with legislation.
• Plan and review health and safety training, develop knowledge in the area of specialization, and participate in the site Emergency Response Team.

Qualifications and Skills:

• NEBOSH Diploma (or equivalent) preferred; candidates with Certificate level will also be considered.
• Experience in R&D, chemical, or higher education sectors is desirable.
• Strong presentation, communication, and influencing skills; ability to engage with various organizational functions.
• Ability to work collaboratively, respect others, and achieve better outcomes for the team and clients.
