Job summary

Anchor is recruiting an experienced Health & Safety Oversight & Assurance Manager to strengthen governance across our organisation. This permanent, full-time role is home-based with national travel to sites and offices and offers a £60,000 salary plus car allowance.

You will lead the oversight framework, deliver evidence-based assurance reports to Exec and Board, and guide a small team to drive continuous improvement in health and safety performance across housing and care operations.

Qualifications

• Significant experience in health and safety management, governance, risk or assurance within a complex organisation.
• NEBOSH National General Certificate or equivalent.
• ISO 45001 Lead Auditor qualification or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Lead Anchor's corporate health and safety oversight and assurance framework.
• Oversee risk-based H&S audit and assurance programme including Big 6 areas.
• Analyse performance, incidents, audits to identify trends and risks.
• Produce evidence-based assurance reports for Executive and Board decisions.
• Collaborate with operational teams, Risk, Compliance and Internal Audit to strengthen governance.
• Oversee audit findings and ensure improvements are implemented and sustained.
