Job summary

Verily Health is seeking a senior, deeply technical engineer to own hard, high-stakes problems end to end—from discovery through design and deployment. You will shape cloud foundations on Google Cloud Platform and AWS, applying infrastructure-as-code, containers, and CI/CD to enable scalable biomedical data work.

Qualifications

8+ years designing and building production software with deep design/architecture skills.
Expert-level Python and fluency in at least one other language.
Strong hands-on cloud/platform engineering across GCP and AWS, including IAM and security, networking, infrastructure-as-code (Terraform), containers (Docker), and CI/CD.

Responsibilities

Own the hardest problems end to end from discovery to a working, well-designed solution.
Raise the engineering bar with clean, maintainable tooling, integrations, and automation.
Engineer the cloud foundation across GCP and AWS, including IAM, security, networking, IaC, containers, and CI/CD.
Build at scale with batch workflows and analysis notebooks to process data and connect customer data/tools.
Partner with customers to analyze needs, recommend implementations, and train users.
