Job summary

Hill Dickinson LLP seeks an Associate or Senior Associate to join the Health Commercial and Procurement team in Leeds, Manchester or Newcastle. The role involves handling procurement and commercial matters for NHS and independent healthcare clients, with client responsibility and travel.

The candidate will have a law degree and proven experience in commercial/regulatory health law, with excellent communication, organisation and research skills, and a proactive business development mindset.

Qualifications

• Need to hold a law degree (or equivalent).
• Proven experience advising in commercial, technology, data protection and/or regulatory law, ideally in health.
• Excellent communication, organisation and research skills.
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to manage competing deadlines.
• Willingness to take responsibility and work with supervision as appropriate.

Responsibilities

• Advising contracting authorities and bidders on procurement and contractual matters under applicable regulations.
• Drafting and advising on procurement documentation.
• Advising on challenges to procurement processes with the disputes team.
• Drafting terms and conditions including framework agreements and data protection docs.
• Working on innovative contracting models (joint ventures, alliances).
• Supporting the team on commercial and regulatory work for NHS and private sector clients.
• Supporting business development and presenting to clients and intermediaries.
• Developing client relationships within the team.
