Job summary

Exemplar Health Care’s The Lodge in Swallownest is seeking a Senior Health Care Assistant to work with the Nurse in Charge and lead our care teams. You’ll support residents with daily living, personal care and meals, helping them pursue hobbies and stay connected with the local community.

You will maintain high standards of care documentation and contribute to a warm, home-like environment, while showing empathy, energy and dependable teamwork.

Qualifications

• Level 3 Health and Social Care qualification.
• GCSE Maths and English at grade C or above.
• Experience in care settings is preferred.

Responsibilities

Contract type: Full time, 42 hours per week

Rate: Up to £13.27 per hour

About the role

Our Senior Health Care Assistants work closely with the Nurse in Charge and lead our Care Teams in supporting every aspect of our residents’ day-to-day lives.

No two days will ever be the same, but your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

• supporting people to achieve their personal goals and be in control of their day to day lives
• enabling people to access their hobbies and interests and be part of their local community
• supporting people with their personal care
• assisting people at meal times by promoting choice and involvement in all aspects of meal preparation
• promoting choice, dignity, independence and respect
• leading, motivating and supporting a team of care colleagues
• ensuring that care documentation is completed to a high standard.
