Senior Health Care Assistant Band 3 24 Hours per week
A fantastic opportunity has arisen in our Endoscopy Unit for a Senior Healthcare Assistant to join our existing team.
The Endoscopy Unit within the NHS Foundation Trust is JAG accredited. The service includes a 3-room Endoscopy unit delivering both diagnostic and therapeutic interventions to patients.
The primary focus of this role is to provide effective and high-quality services related to clinical procedures within the Endoscopy Unit. The post holder should be motivated, able to work as part of a well-established team, and possess excellent communication skills to support the day-to-day operations of the service.
Applicants must have excellent communication and interpersonal skills. We seek highly motivated individuals capable of delivering high standards of care and working towards completing a portfolio of evidence in Endoscopy. Training will be ongoing. Assist qualified nursing staff and consultants in delivering quality clinical care to patients undergoing procedures within Endoscopy. Work independently within defined limits and competence, using own initiative.
Assess, deliver, and record care to patients undergoing diagnostic and therapeutic endoscopy procedures as delegated by registered nurses or consultants.
Contribute to patient care during transitions between care settings. Work within defined limits and competence, with remote supervision when necessary.
The role involves undertaking clinical procedures requiring knowledge of the procedures and ability to handle related non-routine activities, such as managing complications, answering patient questions, and monitoring progress.
The post holder must be highly organized, able to work independently, and possess excellent communication skills to support the team in daily operations.
