Yard Sale Pizza is looking for an experienced Senior Head Pizza Chef who is a collaborative team leader with excellent pizza-making skills to join our team!

Who are we?

Yard Sale Pizza started in 2014 with weekly supper clubs from our backyard in Hackney. We now offer delivery, dine-in, and takeaway in 12 neighbourhoods. Known for collaborations with illustrators, musicians, international chefs, and local eateries, we strive for the perfect pie!

What will I be doing?

• Leading and mentoring a team of chefs in a busy environment.
• Reporting to the Kitchen Operations Manager and General Manager, responsible for all kitchen operations on site.
• Ensuring smooth kitchen operations and a positive working environment.
• Overseeing pizza quality, kitchen speed, and service.
• Training and engaging the chef team with regular appraisals.
• Maintaining GP and portioning targets.
• Managing team rotas within budget.
• Stock ordering and rotation.

What are we looking for?

• Masterclass pizza-making skills with a passion for pizza.
• Expertise in making Neapolitan-style pizza, dough stretching, and baking in a stone-based Marana oven.
• Previous leadership experience in a kitchen, with excellent communication skills.
• Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
• Knowledge of food safety, hygiene, and risk assessments.
