Job summary

Affinity Staff is seeking an experienced Senior Healthcare Assistant to lead care shifts and uphold high clinical standards at a top-tier care facility in Chelmsford, Essex. This is a temporary role offering strong weekly pay, flexible scheduling, and solid agency support.

Ideal candidates will have supervisory experience in UK care, a medication administration certificate, and an up-to-date DBS via the Update Service. Full Right to Work in the UK is required.

Qualifications

• 12 months minimum experience in a UK care setting, with supervisory responsibilities.
• Certificate in Safe Administration of Medication.
• Enhanced DBS check via Update Service (or willingness to process one).
• Full Right to Work in the UK.

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise care teams on shift to ensure high quality care.
• Administer medications accurately per care plans and standards.
• Update care plans, conduct risk assessments, and log incident reports.
• Liaise with visiting healthcare professionals, multidisciplinary teams and families.
• Respond promptly to emergencies and escalate clinical concerns when needed.
