Job summary

Pure Resourcing Solutions is seeking a senior hardware design specialist to lead a 7‑engineer electronics team in Essex. You will influence the full design lifecycle across high‑speed digital, analogue, and power electronics, with emphasis on FPGA and embedded software collaboration.

The role focuses on mentoring, robust ECB/PCB practices, and cross‑functional coordination with software, mechanical, test and manufacturing teams to deliver high‑quality products.

Qualifications

• Senior hardware engineer with 10+ years in electronics.
• Experience in high-speed digital, analogue, power electronics, and FPGA.
• Strong capability in mentoring engineers and providing technical guidance.
• Proficient with Altium and PCB layout.
• Experience with component selection and cross-disciplinary teams.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical leadership and guidance to the electronics team.
• Review and approve designs across the full lifecycle of hardware products.

Do you have a broad experience of electronics hardware design and like to work on a wide variety of products?

Our client create components, and as part of their offering design full electronics products and bespoke hardware for their global portfolio of clients, from small bespoke electronics clients, to high profile multinationals.

This senior role will put you in a position of technical authority within a team of 7 engineers. The man management is taken care of elsewhere, but the successful candidate will offer technical advice and support to the whole team.

Requirements for application:

• Senior hardware experience, typically with 10 or more years in the sector:
• High-speed digital is essential, and experience of areas such as analogue, power electronics, RF, FGPA, an understanding of embedded software etc. are all highly beneficial.
• Experience advising and coaching electronics engineers
• Experience of Altium
