Job summary
PE Global seeks a Hardware Electronics Engineer (for Production) to join our technology client in Cambourne on a 12-month contract. The position is hybrid with at least four days onsite per week and works closely with R&D to bring multidisciplinary products to production.
The role focuses on leading HW changes, DFx/NPI, and reliability testing, with extensive cross-site collaboration across a global organization.
Qualifications
- B.Sc. in Electronics Engineering or equivalent.
- Deep understanding of electronic design and DFM.
- 5+ years' experience with worldwide compliance/regulations.
- Experience in PCB/PCBA design and assembly.
- Experience with RF, batteries, testing methods, and ATE.
- Board design experience with Altium/OrCAD.
- Ability to work in cross-cultural, matrixed organization.
- Hands-on, self-motivated and organized.
Responsibilities
- Lead hardware changes on new and legacy products (EOL, layout updates).
- Lead DFx and NPI procedures for new products.
- Lead failure analysis and reliability testing.
- Act as component engineer for products.
- Support projects to ensure designs meet quality standards.
- Support worldwide production floors.
- Publish reports to peers and management.
- Lead compliance Safety and Radio.
- Lead electronic engineering during NPI and legacy phases.
