Job summary

Oxford University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust invites applications for replacement consultant posts in specialist haematopathology at John Radcliffe Hospital. The appointed doctor will join a team providing a comprehensive Haematological Histopathology service, including cut ups, microscopy, reporting, and participation in clinical meetings.

The post may involve supporting other pathology specialties and undertaking additional programmed activities.

Qualifications

  • FRCPath or equivalent is required.
  • UK trained applicants must also be a holder of a CCT, or be within six months of award of CCT by date of interview.
  • Full and Specialist GMC registration (or eligible within six months) is required.
  • Specialist training in haematological pathology is essential.

Responsibilities

  • Provide consultant haemato-pathology reporting of complex cases.
  • Lead and support clinical meetings, discussions and case reviews.
  • Collaborate across the South 4 Pathology Partnership and digital pathology initiatives.
  • Support development of our cellular pathology service and training where needed.
