Job summary

Applications are invited for the post of Consultant in Haematopathology (10PAs) at Cambridge University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. The role focuses on reporting bone marrow trephine and lymph node biopsies within a Specialist Integrated Haematological Malignancy Diagnostic Service (SIHMDS).

Ideal candidates will be GMC registered, with experience in independent integrated reporting and ideally a CCT in histopathology or near completion.

Qualifications

• Experience of independent integrated reporting of haematopathology specimens, preferably within a SIHMDS or equivalent.
• You will be GMC registered and ideally have a CCT in histopathology or be within six months of award at interview.
• Applications from those unable to work full time or those wishing to job-share are welcome.

Responsibilities

• Report bone marrow trephine biopsies, lymph node biopsies and other relevant solid tissue samples in SIHMDS context.
• Contribute to diagnostic reporting within the SIHMDS environment and liaise with clinical teams.
• Participate in the five‑day Consultant Development programme within a year of joining the Trust.
