Level, the UK's leading specialist lender for family law and probate, is seeking a growth-focused technologist to build AI-enabled growth machinery. You will work directly with the CGO, ship quickly, and iterate in shadow mode before real decisions.
We offer unusual latitude, direct strategy, and no heavy committees, with a London base and a hybrid schedule including two days in the office. The role rewards experimentation and fast delivery, with share options and a strong benefits package.
Level is the UK's leading specialist lender for family law and probate proceedings. During a divorce or while an estate is being settled, assets are often held in one party's name, which can leave the other side unable to fund proper representation or to cover the costs of getting probate done. We lend against those situations so that solicitors and their clients can proceed on a level footing.
Ten years in, we are profitable, we lead our main market, and we still work like a startup.
Our founder has built a business with real demand and relationships competitors have not matched. A Chief Growth Officer joined this summer, a serial startup founder himself, to build the growth function alongside him and to put AI properly to work across the company.
The bet is simple: one excellent builder, armed with agents and the freedom to use them, now does the work that used to need a systems team. Well-built systems take the repetitive work out of people's days so their time goes on judgement and relationships. You would work directly with the CGO, who is hands on and makes decisions in hours rather than weeks.
Come in and get the growth machinery built. We want systems and agents that compound, so that by month six the engine runs on things you built and gets better every week. You decide the build order with the CGO, ship fast, prove things in shadow mode, and move on to the next thing.
Salesforce is our core system and stays that way for now. Development inside the platform belongs to our engineering team, and you specify that work rather than doing it yourself. Everything outside the platform is yours to choose and build. We have no attachment to any tool we cannot justify.
Someone at the learning edge of AI. The kind of person who is on X when a new model or agent framework drops and has it working in the business that week. You do not need a computer science degree, and we do not mind whether you write code by hand or build with agents. You do need to have shipped working software that other people depend on, and to stand behind it when someone asks how it works and what happens when it breaks.
Someone who does not care about having a team. You care about getting stuff done, and about the freedom to build, test and kill things quickly instead of pushing work through a slow corporate machine.
Lending or fintech experience is not required. The lending knowledge is already here. What we will look at hardest is what you have built.
Unusual latitude for a company of our size: a clear remit, a direct line to the person setting strategy, and no committee between you and shipping. Growth is where you start. As AI capability spreads across the company, the same skills are needed well beyond it, so the remit widens as fast as you can carry it.
We are not able to sponsor visas for this role, so you will need the existing right to work in the UK.
small teams, one clear owner for each thing, direct feedback, and decisions made quickly then revisited when the evidence changes.
