Job summary

Jenson Fisher is recruiting a Senior Group Accountant for a 12-month fixed-term contract based in Thetford. You will lead group accounting activities, oversee month-end and year-end processes, and support consolidation across a multi-entity environment, delivering accurate management information.

The role requires a strong technical accounting background, attention to detail, and the ability to drive improvements in financial reporting and controls within a fast-paced business.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in senior financial accounting or group accounting roles.
• Experience with month-end and year-end reporting and financial controls.
• Experience in multi-entity environments and intercompany accounting.
• Excellent analytical skills and ability to communicate financial information clearly.
• Strong Excel skills and experience with financial reporting tools.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate group accounting activities for timely financial reporting.
• Manage month-end and year-end close processes and accuracy of results.
• Prepare and review group management accounts and balance sheet reconciliations.
• Support consolidation and intercompany adjustments; liaise with auditors.
• Maintain general ledger integrity and ensure compliance with standards.
• Identify process improvements across the Group Finance function.
• Assist with budgeting, forecasting and cash flow reporting.
