Job summary

Henley Chase is seeking an experienced Project Manager for groundworks and civil engineering in Glasgow. You will lead projects from planning through delivery, coordinating site teams, subcontractors and suppliers, while maintaining programme and budget.

The role requires strong background in groundworks, drainage, foundations and enabling works, with excellent communication and safety management skills. A full UK driving licence is essential.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Project Manager within groundworks, civil engineering or construction.
• Strong programme and budget management with subcontractor coordination.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage groundworks and civil engineering projects from inception through to completion.
• Plan and coordinate site operations, labour, plant, materials and subcontractors.
• Manage projects involving ground stabilisation and remediation.
• Oversee drainage, excavation and associated civil engineering works.
• Manage demolition and enabling works.
• Oversee foundation and substructure packages.
• Develop and monitor project programmes and delivery schedules.
• Manage project budgets, costs and commercial performance.
• Coordinate subcontractors, suppliers and site teams.
• Liaise with clients, consultants and other project stakeholders.
• Monitor quality, progress and site performance.
• Ensure projects comply with health, safety and environmental requirements.
• Manage project documentation, reports and progress meetings.
• Identify and resolve issues to keep projects on programme.
• Ensure successful completion and handover of projects.
