Job summary

Lockheed Martin UK is seeking a Ground Systems IPT Lead in Havant to drive development, integration and delivery of the Ground Segment, with accountability for performance, schedule, cost and risk. Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience with 10+ years in the field.
• Proven hands-on experience in satellite system level testing and cleanrooms.
• Technical leadership experience and strong problem-solving skills.
• Familiar with ECSS, NASA and MIL-STD space systems standards.
• System-level understanding of GEO satellites.
• Experience with Environmental Verification Testing processes.
• Experience in Systems Integration and Test Planning and documentation.
• System Requirements management and verification.
• Experience leading a System Engineering team on a development program.
• Active or current Secret clearance, UK or NATO citizenship required.

Responsibilities

• Lead all aspects of the Ground IPT responsible for development, integration and delivery of the Ground Segment with accountability for performance, schedule, cost, and risk.
• Drive programme execution with multidisciplinary teams across engineering, operations and programme management through the full product lifecycle.
• Oversee workforce planning, team development, and retention of engineering staff; support planning and delivery across the Ground Segment scope.
• Collaborate with LM UK RMS Facilities and LM Space US Facilities to support Laboratory integration efforts.
• Develop sustainable engineering pipelines in partnership with NESST and regional stakeholders.
• Establish standard engineering processes aligned with LM Engineering Procedures and compliance requirements.
• Support Engineering Change Proposals and related lifecycle activities.
