WSP in the UK & Ireland is seeking a Senior Grid Connections Engineer to support the Renewables Grid Connections team and deliver electricity network connections for renewables and storage projects across the UK. You will lead technical delivery from feasibility to energisation, identify viable connection opportunities, and coordinate interfaces with NESO, DNOs, TOs, ICPs, IDNOs and contractors.

This role offers hybrid working in the UK with opportunities to mentor engineers, influence grid

Competenze

Degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
Experience in power systems, electricity networks or grid connections.
Experience delivering grid connection projects in the UK electricity market.

Mansioni

Technical assessment of grid connection designs and strategies for renewables.
Coordinate grid connection applications and interfaces with NESO, DNOs, TOs, ICPs, IDNOs, OEMs and contractors.
Due diligence of connection offers and programmes; assess project risks.
Review electrical designs related to grid connection infrastructure.
Oversee studies and compliance submissions (Grid Code, G99) and energisation strategies.
Mentor junior engineers and stay updated on Grid Code changes and reforms.
