Mitie Group plc. is recruiting a Senior Commissioning Engineer to lead commissioning on distribution power system plant and substation equipment. The role involves coordinating activities across projects, preparing documentation, and acting as the customer focal point. Travel across the UK will be required.
The ideal candidate will have an electrical engineering degree, experience with protection schemes, and strong fault-finding capabilities, with safety credentials and regulatory knowledge.

We offer a comprehensive suite of specialist services across grid application, design, equipment procurement, installation, testing, commissioning and ongoing operations and maintenance. Our focus is on supporting decarbonisation through projects including utility-scale solar, wind, battery energy storage (BESS), and EV infrastructure.
We are currently recruiting for a Senior Commissioning Engineer to join our Rock Power Connections Technical Operations team.
This is your role. What part will you play?
To act as Commissioning Engineer undertaking commissioning activities / duties on a wide range of distribution power system plant, control and protection and other substation equipment to a high level of competence.
Since our acquisition by the Mitie Group in 2022, we have completed some of our biggest projects to date. These include the installation of EV charging stations at some of the UK's busiest hubs and partnerships with high profile clients such as hi-speed rail network HS2 and Electric Highway Gridserve, whilst continuing to support and grow our long-standing place on the NGED (formerly WPD) framework agreement to deliver new substations, carry out asset replacement and reinforcement works from 11kV through to 132kV
