Qualifications

  • Degree in Computer Science, Computer Graphics, Electronic Engineering or related field.
  • Extensive hands-on experience in computer graphics, GPU algorithms, real-time rendering or related areas.
  • Strong knowledge of modern graphics pipelines and rendering technologies.

Responsibilities

  • Lead research and architecture of algorithms for next-generation graphics rendering pipelines.
  • Work on Ray Tracing, Path Tracing, PBR and related rendering techniques.
  • Design and optimise high-performance GPU graphics algorithms.
  • Improve frame rate, latency and power efficiency of rendering workloads.
  • Track emerging graphics technologies and contribute to future technical direction.

Job description

Our client is looking for a Senior Graphics Algorithm Architect to research, design and optimise advanced graphics algorithms for next-generation rendering systems.

The role combines computer graphics research with practical GPU engineering and will focus on technologies such as Ray Tracing, Path Tracing, Physically Based Rendering, screen-space effects and next-generation image reconstruction.

  • Key ResponsibilitiesLead research and architecture of algorithms for next-generation graphics rendering pipelines.
  • Work on Ray Tracing, Path Tracing, Physically Based Rendering, SSR, SSAO, DLSS/FSR-style technologies and related rendering techniques.
  • Design and optimise high-performance GPU graphics algorithms.
  • Optimise algorithms for GPU parallel computing architectures.
  • Improve performance and stability across geometry processing, shader compilation, texture management and GPU scheduling.
  • Improve frame rate, latency and power efficiency of rendering workloads.
  • Track emerging graphics technologies and contribute to future technical direction.
  • Contribute research through technical publications, papers, patents, white papers or industry-facing technical work.
Requirements
  • Degree in Computer Science, Computer Graphics, Electronic Engineering, Applied Mathematics or a related field.
  • Extensive hands-on experience in computer graphics, GPU algorithms, real-time rendering or related areas.
  • Strong knowledge of modern graphics pipelines and rendering technologies.
  • Experience implementing and optimising high-performance GPU algorithms.
  • Knowledge of Ray Tracing, Path Tracing, PBR, screen-space effects, image reconstruction or similar technologies.
  • Experience with areas such as geometry processing, shader compilation, texture management or GPU scheduling.
  • Strong understanding of GPU parallel computing and graphics performance optimisation.
  • Strong programming and algorithm-development skills.
  • Experience with technologies such as Vulkan, OpenGL ES, Metal, DirectX 11/12 or OpenCL.
  • PhD in Computer Graphics, GPU Architecture or a related field.
  • Publications at recognised graphics conferences or journals.
  • Experience bringing graphics algorithm architectures into commercial products.
  • Patents, technical publications, white papers or other significant technical contributions.
