Industry Leading Semiconductor Company in Cambridge is seeking an experienced Compiler Engineer to optimize GPU cores for peak performance and power efficiency, and to develop compiler software and graphics drivers for next-generation products.

The role requires deep GPU architecture knowledge, extensive hardware/software co-design experience, and a track record in compiler development or graphics driver software, with onsite work in Cambridge.

Qualifications

  • Master’s or PhD in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or Electrical Engineering.
  • 5+ years of relevant GPU experience, specifically in hardware/software co-design.
  • Deep understanding of GPU architectures and graphics pipelines.
  • Experience in compiler development or graphics driver software.

Responsibilities

  • Architect and optimize GPU cores for peak performance and power efficiency.
  • Develop high-performance GPU compiler software and drivers to support cutting-edge graphics products.
  • Build functional model simulations and develop graphics tests to verify architectural correctness.
  • Program and run graphics tests to identify bottlenecks and ensure power/performance goals are met.
  • Create detailed feature descriptions and technical guides for internal and external stakeholders.
