Job summary

European Tech Recruit in the UK seeks a Principal GPU Compiler Engineer to lead GPU compiler architecture and optimizations in Cambourne. You will define interfaces, drive the compiler pipeline, and collaborate with Driver and HW teams to implement new APIs and features.

Ideal candidates have a PhD or MSc, 7+ years in compiler tools, and deep LLVM/C/C++ expertise, with strong problem solving and teamwork skills, delivering on milestones.

Qualifications

• BS/MS/PhD in Computer Science, Electrical or Computer Engineering or related majors.
• 7+ years of industry experience.
• Experience with product compiler, compiler tools such as assembler, linker development.
• Hands-on experience in C/C++ programming.
• Hands-on experience with state-of-the-art compiler optimization/transformation techniques.
• Hands-on experience with LLVM.
• Strong teamwork and execution capability.
• Strong problem solving, root causing and debugging skills.

Responsibilities

• Define GPU compiler software architecture and interfaces.
• Development/implement GPU compiler pipeline, linking and various optimizations / transformations.
• Collaborate with Driver team, HW team to implement new API & HW features.
• Collaborate with Driver team, HW team to improve/tune performance & power consumption.
• Execute & deliver to meet milestones/schedules.
• Analyze and debug code generation issues.
• Analyze and influence future GPU architectures.
• Construct reliable & trustable relationships across teams internally & externally.
