Job summary

A Housing Association in the West Midlands is recruiting a Senior Governance Officer on a 12-18 month fixed-term contract. The role is hybrid: 2 days in the office and 3 days remote, with a salary up to £47,000 per annum.

You will support governance, manage governance staff, and prepare board papers and minutes. You’ll also assist policy administration and succession planning. 37 hours per week, Monday to Friday.

Qualifications

• High level governance support experience.

Responsibilities

• Support the Head of Governance and Assurance in governance, assurance and policy oversight during merger activity.
• Manage and oversee governance support colleagues.
• Prepare board and committee meeting packs and take minutes (some sessions may be in the evening).
• Assist with agenda planning, resolutions and reports for Chief Officers, boards and committees on governance matters.
• Analyze compliance and performance against regulatory standards and codes; assess board/committee effectiveness.
• Maintain an up-to-date policy estate reflecting best practice.
• Support succession planning, recruitment, induction, training and appraisals for board/committee members.
