Job summary

Qualifications

• Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and applied experience.
• Hands-on practical experience delivering system design, application development, testing, and operational stability.
• Advanced in one or more programming languages, ideally including Go, Python, React, or Java.
• Proficiency in Terraform, Ansible, or other automation and continuous delivery methods.
• Proficiency in all aspects of the Software Development Life Cycle.
• Advanced understanding of agile methodologies such as CI/CD, application resiliency, and security.
• Demonstrated proficiency in software applications and technical processes within a technical discipline such as cloud, AI/ML, or mobile.
• In-depth knowledge of the financial services industry and its IT systems.
• Experience designing and scaling agentic AI-enabled development patterns with governance for human-in-the-loop validation, traceability, auditability, and secure handling of inputs/outputs.
• Strong understanding of responsible AI use and control at scale, including security and resiliency implications, data sensitivity, and risk-based governance.
• Practical cloud-native experience and infrastructure architecture design.
• Experience in AWS EKS and GCP GKE ecosystems is a plus.
• Knowledge of multiple cloud platforms.

Responsibilities

• Execute creative software solutions, design, development, and technical troubleshooting beyond routine approaches.
• Develop secure, high-quality production code and review code written by others.
• Identify opportunities to automate remediation of recurring issues to improve operational stability.
• Set strategy and standards for agentic AI-enabled engineering across a portfolio using enterprise tools to improve delivery speed and code quality.
• Define guardrails for validation, security, resiliency, and reuse across teams.
• Apply SDLC tools and AI-assisted development to improve automation value at scale.
• Lead evaluation sessions with external vendors, startups, and internal teams to assess designs and fit within existing systems.
• Lead communities of practice across Software Engineering to drive awareness of new technologies.
• Add to team culture of diversity and opportunity.
