Burns Sheehan is hiring a Senior Backend Developer to lead the architectural shift toward a serverless, event-driven model. The role focuses on building low-latency Go services and collaborating with a Rust codebase in a high-scale environment.

The position is in London (Waterloo) with a requirement of 1 day in the office per week, offering £90,000-£110,000 plus equity and the opportunity to shape architectural direction at a venture-backed scale-up.

Qualifications

• Production experience building with Go and/or Rust.
• Design high throughput data pipelines and integrate AI models or APIs.
• Strong knowledge of serverless technologies and migrating workloads to serverless.

Responsibilities

• Lead architectural migration from Docker on Kubernetes to serverless, event-driven models.
• Design, build and maintain low-latency backend services in Go; coordinate with Rust codebase.
