Job summary

Leonardo is seeking a GNCF Engineer to design, develop and verify navigation systems for advanced platforms. You will work on navigation algorithms, sensor fusion, and AI-enabled techniques within a multi-national team, contributing across the full lifecycle from concept through verification and customer support.

The role requires a strong background in navigation principles, estimation theory, and experience with MATLAB/Simulink, GNSS/GPS, INS and Kalman filtering.

Qualifications

• Degree in Engineering, Mathematics, Physics or related field.
• Understanding of navigation principles and estimation theory.
• Experience with inertial and GNSS navigation technologies.
• Experience with Kalman filters and sensor fusion.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop navigation algorithms and system architecture.
• Model sensor performance and conduct validation planning.
• Develop state estimation and sensor fusion methods.
• Prototype and verify AI-enabled navigation approaches.
• Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams across locations.
