Applied Intuition Defence in London seeks a Guidance, Navigation & Control Engineer to craft and validate flight autonomy software for a range of aerial UAS platforms, from quadrotors to long-range aircraft. You will design, integrate and rigorously test GNC capabilities across programs, delivering reusable software that powers multiple defense initiatives.

The role requires a Master’s in a relevant field, 6+ years of hands-on GNC experience, proficiency in C++, and exposure to PX4/ArduPilot.

Qualifikationen

• Master's degree in Aerospace, Robotics, EE, ME, CS or similar field.
• 6+ years hands-on GNC software development for autonomous systems.
• Experience C++ autonomy algorithms development.
• Experience outer-loop control or path planning.
• Strong foundation in control theory, dynamics, and optimization.
• Experience simulating 3DoF/6DoF air vehicle models.
• Experience with flight testing and data analysis.
• Experience with UAS GNC/navigation systems (PX4, ArduPilot).
• Strong programming (functional, procedural, OO).

Aufgaben

• Write software for real autonomous aircraft systems and UAVs.
• Build and improve aerial autonomy software architectures on real systems.
• Collaborate with 3rd party UAS vendors to integrate software onto OEM hardware.
