Job summary

Indra Space Systems UK is seeking a Senior GNC/AOCS Engineer to support the design, development and validation of autonomous guidance, navigation and control systems for space platforms, including FDIR capabilities. You will work on Earth-observation, interplanetary and ADR/IOS satellites, launchers and re-entry vehicles, applying model-based design methods and complex simulations.

Qualifications

• A recognised degree in Engineering or related discipline (Mechanical, Aerospace, Electrical, Electronic)
• Minimum of five years' experience applying relevant engineering principles in GNC/AOCS/FDIR domains (MSc/PhD may compensate)
• Strong programming and experience with MATLAB/Simulink for model-based design and simulation

Responsibilities

• Support specification, design, implementation and validation of AOCS and FDIR algorithms for satellites, launchers and re-entry vehicles
• Develop model-based designs and implement GNC/AOCS algorithms in MATLAB/Simulink
• Design, implement and test simulators for dynamic systems and their validation
• Simulate dynamic system behaviour and perform mathematical modelling
• Specify and validate GNC/AOCS solutions and perform performance trade-offs of hardware
• Interface with the overall system team and contribute to technical leadership
