Job summary

Indra Space Systems UK in Harwell is seeking a GNC/AOCS Engineer to contribute to autonomous rendezvous, relative navigation and attitude control for ADR/IOS missions. You will develop GNC/AOCS/FDIR functions across the full lifecycle, from analysis to verification and deployment, working with ESA and other European programmes.

Applicants will have an engineering degree and 4+ years in GNC/AOCS, MATLAB/Simulink expertise, and programming skills in Python or C, with a track record of rigorous

Qualifications

• A recognised degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Aerospace, Electrical, Electronic) or related discipline.
• Minimum of four years' experience applying relevant engineering principles in the domain.
• Knowledge of control and simulation of dynamic systems.
• Experience developing GNC/AOCS and FDIR solutions for aerospace programmes is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Specification, design, implementation, verification, and validation of AOCS/GNC and FDIR algorithms.
• Development and implementation of model-based GNC/AOCS solutions.
• Design, implementation, and testing of mission simulators and dynamic system models.
• Specification, analysis, and trade-off of GNC/AOCS hardware solutions, including sensors and actuators.
• Support to system engineering activities and multidisciplinary coordination.
• Verification and validation of GNC/AOCS solutions through analysis and testing.
• Technical coordination and leadership of assigned activities.
