Job summary

TechnipFMC plc seeks a senior Category Manager to drive global category strategy and supplier optimization. You will lead a dispersed team, align with regional procurement, and coordinate with engineering, sales and operations to achieve cost, quality and delivery targets.

With a background in business, supply chain or engineering, you will shape supplier partnerships, implement improvement initiatives, and guide teams through complex sourcing programs in the energy sector.

Qualifications

• Requires a degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain, Engineering or a related subject; formal education can be replaced by long-term work experience.
• Typically has supervisory and/or management experience.
• Industry knowledge in Oil and Gas equipment/services is preferred.
• Strong written and verbal communication in English; ability to develop and implement processes and policies.

Responsibilities

• Develop, execute and maintain a comprehensive category strategy capable of delivering best-in-class SQDC results at the global level.
• Provide guidance and consultancy for regional execution of category needs; support sub-category strategies.
• Identify opportunities and suppliers to gain advantages in functionality, price, quality, and delivery.
• Develop supplier strategies and long-term partnerships; drive local content where required.
• Collaborate with technology, sales, operations and engineering to define key requirements for the category and regions.
• Lead category cost improvement initiatives and report quarterly on performance against goals.
• Manage a global Category Team including sub-category leads and quality engineers; coordinate across FMCTI operating locations.
• Interact with Global Sourcing and Procurement management and business units to ensure alignment.
