Job summary
My client, an engineering consultancy, seeks a Senior Engineering Geologist/Geotechnical Engineer to join the Leeds, West Yorkshire team. You will deliver ground modelling, geotechnical design, and risk assessments while liaising with clients and supporting business development.
A degree in Geology is required, with MSc and Chartered status preferred, and at least six years Rail experience including earthworks inspections and reporting.
Qualifications
- Degree in Geology or similar.
- MSc in Engineering Geology or Geotechnical Engineering is a plus.
- Chartered with CGeol or CEng or working towards Chartered status.
- Minimum six years' rail sector experience including earthworks inspections and reporting.
- Experience producing geotechnical reports including Geotechnical Interpretative Reports and Mining Risk Assessments.
- Experience with ground investigation planning, specification and supervision and interpretative reporting.
- Experience in the design of earthworks and geotechnical solutions.
- Full UK driving licence for site travel.
Responsibilities
- Provide geotechnical solutions across projects including rail sector.
- Perform ground modelling and geotechnical design and risk assessments.
- Collaborate with other engineering departments.
- Deal directly with clients and support business development.
