Job summary

Langan Engineering & Environmental Services is seeking a Senior Geotechnical Engineer to join its collaborative team in London, UK. This role focuses on preparing technical reports, specifications, plans, and geotechnical design aspects of construction.

Responsibilities include coordinating investigations, overseeing projects, and producing geotechnical reports. The candidate will have 5+ years of relevant experience, strong communication, and the ability to work independently or in a team.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil or Geotechnical Engineering is required; Master's preferred.
• 5+ years of geotechnical experience in investigations and construction inspections.
• Experience in field work coordination, geotechnical reports, and specification writing.
• Experience with earthwork, pile construction, load testing, and retaining wall design.

Responsibilities

• Design earth structures, deep foundations, support of excavation and underpinning systems.
• Assist project manager with field work coordination and project management support.
• Scope and oversee geotechnical investigations and construction projects, and perform inspections as needed.
• Coordinate investigations and assist in geotechnical report writing.
• Prepare logs and field forms, including drilling and test pit logs, field investigation dailies, and chain of custody logs.
• Fieldwork is required; and
• Perform other duties as requested.
