Job summary

Penguin Recruitment Ltd is seeking a Principal Geotechnical Engineer to lead major infrastructure projects from London. You will provide technical leadership, manage multidisciplinary teams, and drive client relationships while ensuring profitable delivery.

The role requires Chartered Engineer status and CRE experience, with a focus on delivering high standards and business growth in a senior leadership capacity.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Civil/Engineering disciplines from an accredited institution.
• Chartered Engineer status or equivalent professional accreditation.
• CRE or equivalent responsible engineer experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design, planning and delivery of major infrastructure projects.
• Develop conceptual and detailed designs, drawings, specifications and reports.
• Provide technical leadership and approval for complex solutions.
• Manage multidisciplinary teams to deliver on time and budget.
• Ensure compliance with legislation, standards and best practice.
• Build and maintain strong client and stakeholder relationships.
• Support business development including proposals and client engagement.
• Mentor and develop engineers and technical staff.
• Monitor project performance, financial delivery and profitability.
• Represent the organisation at meetings, industry events and forums.
