Job summary

Penguin Recruitment Ltd in Central London is seeking an Associate Geotechnical Engineer to lead a diverse range of geotechnical projects. You will manage projects from ground investigation through to detailed design and construction, and provide technical leadership to the team.

Qualifications

• Degree in Civil Engineering, Geotechnical Engineering or related discipline.
• Significant experience in geotechnical consultancy.
• Chartered status or working towards chartership.
• Strong knowledge of ground engineering, foundation design and ground investigation.
• Experience managing projects and liaising with clients.
• Excellent communication, organisational and commercial skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage geotechnical projects from initial ground investigation through to detailed design and construction.
• Undertake and review geotechnical assessments, foundation design, retaining structures and interpretative reports.
• Interpret ground investigation data and develop ground models and engineering solutions.
• Provide technical leadership, review deliverables and mentor junior engineers.
• Manage project budgets, programmes and resources for successful delivery.
• Develop client relationships and contribute to business development and tenders.
