Energy Jobline CVL is seeking a Senior Geotechnical Engineer in London to join a growing team delivering technically challenging geotechnical projects across built environment and infrastructure sectors. You will lead design packages, manage foundations and basement schemes, and coordinate across disciplines while mentoring junior engineers and engaging directly with clients and stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Significant experience in geotechnical engineering within an engineering consultancy.
• Strong technical background in foundation engineering, deep excavations, retaining structures and ground movement assessment.
• Experience delivering geotechnical design solutions for complex buildings, basements or infrastructure projects.
• Sound understanding of British Standards, Eurocodes and UK geotechnical design guidance.
• Proficiency with geotechnical analysis and design software incl. PLAXIS 2D/3D, Oasys XDisp, WallAP, Settle3 and SLOPE/W.

Responsabilités

• Lead and deliver geotechnical design packages for diverse building and infrastructure projects.
• Design and assess shallow and deep foundations, including piles, rafts and piled raft foundations.
• Undertake design/analysis of deep excavations, basements, retaining walls and temporary earth-retaining systems.
• Carry out soil–structure interaction assessments, settlement analyses and ground movement predictions.
• Coordinate with structural, civil and other disciplines to deliver integrated solutions.
• Provide technical guidance and mentoring to junior engineers and support their development.
