Job summary

Energy Jobline ZR in London is seeking a Senior Engineering Geologist to join a leading multidisciplinary consultancy. You will manage ground investigation projects, perform engineering geological logging, develop ground models and prepare technical reports for major infrastructure and development schemes across London and the UK.

Qualifications

• Degree in Engineering Geology, Geology, Geotechnical Engineering or related field.
• Significant experience in engineering geology or geotechnical consultancy.
• Strong ground investigation and engineering geological logging experience.
• Experience producing factual and interpretative reports.
• Good understanding of UK ground conditions and relevant standards.
• Experience managing projects and/or supervising junior staff.
• Strong technical and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Managing and supervising ground investigation projects from planning through to completion.
• Engineering geological logging of soils and rock.
• Developing and interpreting ground models.
• Reviewing GI data, laboratory results and factual reports.
• Producing high-quality interpretative and geotechnical reports.
• Providing engineering geological input into design and construction projects.
• Undertaking site inspections and supervising contractors.
• Managing project programmes, budgets and client requirements.
• Liaising with clients, contractors and multidisciplinary project teams.
• Supporting and mentoring junior engineers and engineering geologists.
• Contributing to technical proposals and winning new work.
