Job summary

Penguin Recruitment is seeking a Senior Geotechnical Engineer for an Exeter role, offering a salary of £50,000–£60,000 and hybrid working. You will lead geotechnical projects from feasibility through design, prepare technical reports, and mentor junior engineers while managing client relationships.

The role requires a Civil Engineering or Engineering Geology degree, UK experience, Eurocode 7 knowledge, and chartership progression. A UK driving licence is also required.

Qualifications

• Degree in Civil Engineering, Engineering Geology or related discipline.
• Several years of experience within a UK geotechnical consultancy.
• Strong geotechnical design experience, including foundations, retaining walls, earthworks and slope stability.
• Experience producing interpretative ground investigation reports, geotechnical assessments and design reports.
• Good understanding of Eurocode 7 and current UK standards.
• Experience managing projects, budgets and client relationships.
• Chartered status, or working towards Chartership.
• Full UK driving licence.
