Job summary

Bridgewater Consultancy UK Ltd is seeking an experienced Senior Geotechnical Engineer to join our Construction Engineering Team and lead geotechnical design and analysis for complex temporary works on high-profile London projects.

You will be involved from feasibility and tender through to detailed design and live project delivery, developing practical, buildable engineering solutions that respond to programme and site constraints.

Qualifications

5+ years of geotechnical design experience
Eligible to work in the UK
Degree in Civil Engineering, Geotechnical Engineering or related discipline

Responsibilities

Undertake geotechnical analysis and design from feasibility through to detailed design
Support both tender-stage and live project delivery
Develop practical, efficient and buildable engineering solutions
Carry out retaining wall, excavation and ground movement assessments
Undertake geotechnical design using WALLAP and PLAXIS 2D
Review ground investigation data and geotechnical parameters
Prepare design calculations, reports and technical documentation
Ensure designs comply with geotechnical codes and standards
Challenge design assumptions and align with site constraints
Develop solutions that fit construction methodology
