Job summary

Bridgewater Consultancy is seeking a Senior Geotechnical Engineer to lead geotechnical design and analysis for complex temporary works on major London projects. The role covers feasibility through to live delivery, with close collaboration across project managers, temporary works engineers and design colleagues.

The successful candidate will apply advanced geotechnical methods, interpret ground data, and deliver practical, buildable solutions that align with construction methodologies and site

Qualifications

• Ideally 5+ years' geotechnical design experience.
• UK project experience is required.
• Eligible to work in the UK.
• Degree in Civil Engineering, Geotechnical Engineering or related discipline.
• Strong understanding of geotechnical design principles and processes.

Responsibilities

• Lead geotechnical design and analysis for temporary works.
• Collaborate with project teams from tender to live delivery.
• Assess ground movements, retaining walls, and excavations.
• Produce design calculations, reports, and technical documentation.
• Ensure compliance with geotechnical standards and codes.
