Job Opportunity: Senior Geotechnical Engineer

We are seeking a Senior Geotechnical Engineer to join a growing team in Leeds, supporting the development of a northern office alongside a reputable London-based Geotechnical Director.

This role offers the chance to be the first senior engineer in the team, gaining experience in technical delivery, recruitment, financial management, and business development.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare desk studies, phase 2 reports, risk assessments, and specifications.
• Design foundations, retaining walls, slopes, and temporary works.
• Work on projects including large-scale developments across the UK, rail, and maritime sectors.
• Potential for further development in numerical analysis, primarily conducted out of HQ.

Candidate Specification:

• Degree in Civil Engineering or Geology, with a relevant MSc in Geotechnics or Soil Mechanics.
• Approaching or Chartered status with ICE or CGeol.
• Proven experience in geotechnical desk studies, supervising Ground Investigations, and geotechnical design.
• Understanding of Eurocode 7 and geotechnical principles.
• Desirable: knowledge of Geo-Environmental issues.
• Full UK driving license.
